My teaching life

My final dancing qualifications Advance RAD 1978 was with some wonderful teachers Mrs Elsie Segus; Mrs Hunter; Mrs Pat Mc Donald (Gold Coast course); Miss Shirley Treacy; Ramsey School of Dance (Sydney- Two Weeks Full Time). I gained my full teachers qualifications in 1985.

I taught for my sister Mrs Pamela Lennon from 1975 to 1988 and I then commenced my own school in a small hall in Lawton with sixty students and I had my first concert in the Aspley State High School hall.

In 1989 I open a studio at Brendale in Moonbi street where I stayed for three years then moved onto 124 Southpine road to present. My first six years and under Eisteddfod group in 1989 gained a first place in the Brisbane Eisteddfod and I have continued to place and gain awards at the eisteddfods ever since.

My second recital to the Twentith recital was at the Carseldine Theatre QUT; last year 2009 ( Twenty-second recital) we went to the Mueller College Auditorium.
